1. The ‘Staniforth’ match is an indoor match that as far as possible replicates the conditions of the ‘Ashburton’ match. The match takes place annually from September to December and is fired under NSRA RULES AND REGULATIONS. The competition will be shot in two stages. The best ten teams in the first stage will qualify to shoot a set of cards in the second stage under supervision of a special witness. The conditions will be the same for both stages. A reserve may be included to take the place of any cadet who may be unable to shoot in the second stage. Likewise, where more than one team has been entered by a school it will be permissible for a firer to switch teams for the second stage.
